Wedding in Capri: Christian and Adam a Dolce Vita style wedding

There’s an air of magic that surrounds the most beautiful love stories, those that seem written by destiny itself. This is the story of Christian and Adam, a couple from Texas brought together by a shared passion and a chance encounter that led them to an unforgettable celebration in an enchanting wedding in Capri. A FATEFUL MEETING IN CANCUN

It all began with a day on the beach in Cancun, Mexico, while they were both living in Brooklyn, NY. They had many mutual friends but had somehow never met before. Adam worked as a TV editor, and Christian ran his restaurant, The Manhattan Inn. A little over a year after they started dating, Christian was diagnosed with cancer, and they moved to my home state, Texas (Austin), to have an easier life. They got engaged a month after Christian celebrated four years cancer-free, and finally, they married happily and healthily after a little more than seven years together. During that time, they started a business together in Austin: a wine bar and natural wine shop called LoLo.

A CEREMONY IN THE GARDENS OF EDEN

Days, months, and years passed; Christian defeated her illness and was in full health. On the fourth anniversary of her most important victory, they decided to get married. And what place could be more beautiful than Capri, where a few years earlier, during one of their trips, they had witnessed the wedding of a stranger?

Capri, the island of the sweet life, where time seems to flow more slowly and every corner tells a story. The Gardens of Augustus were the perfect stage for the ceremony. For a destination wedding photographer, capturing the spontaneity of these first moments was a unique experience.

In the beating heart of the island, a few steps from the luxurious Piazzetta and the boutiques of Italian dress fashion, the Gardens of Augustus are a haven of peace and beauty. A botanical garden made up of flowering terraces overlooking the majestic Faraglioni on one side and the bay of Marina Piccola on the other. Here, amidst intoxicating scents and bright colors, Christian and Adam exchanged their vows, surrounded by the love of friends and lush nature.

AN UNFORGETTABLE PARTY AT BAGNI DI TIBERIO

After the ceremony, the wedding party moved to Bagni di Tiberio, a corner of paradise that perfectly embodies the spirit of the sweet life. Imagine a crystal-clear sea lapping against a pebble beach, a restaurant where fresh fish is the undisputed king of the table, and a gozzo waiting to set sail for a tour of the island.

The party was a triumph of joy and cheerfulness. Guests, wrapped in a magical atmosphere, toasted the happiness of the newlyweds with glasses of wine, savoring seafood delicacies and dancing under the stars. Every smile, every hug, every moment was a picture painted with the colors of happiness. Documenting this party as a destination wedding photographer was a true honor, capturing the pure essence of the sweet life.

A DREAMLIKE EPILOGUE

The celebration of Christian and Adam’s wedding in Capri was a true homage to the sweet life, an explosion of love and beauty reminiscent of Fellini’s films. Every detail, perfect, an ode to romance and life lived with passion.

Christian and Adam knew they had created memories that would accompany them forever. Because in the end, their love story is not just a tale but a testament to how love can transform reality into a fairy tale. Today, they are incredibly happy and hope to live in Italy in the future, at least part-time. As a destination wedding photographer, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to tell this fairy tale through my photographs.
